It’s a ladies’ machine, just for keeping the edges tidy on a regular basis. It is no use for deep overgrown grass and/or weeds. If you need to have a machine just to keep the edges neat and not for commercial use then this may suit you. But for a normal garden lawn buy a more powerful machine with two feed lines as this has only one and no automatic feed. You have to stop and use the release button to extend the line trimmer. I believe for just a tidy up a lady could use it. However, I made a mistake I should have bought a more robust machine I love the battery machine they are so portable, therefore, when this one dies I will purchase a more robust machine. For its lightweight purpose this machine is ideal but a pain in the bum having to stop and reset it all the time to keep the line in a sufficient cutting length. In a nutshell its not a serious line trimmer, not quite a toy but it is equal to a feather duster it helps to keep the dust down [grass]

After putting the line trimmer together and using it I found that the wheel kept the line from doing edges was hopeless. It stopped it from cutting any depth.The guard was covering the sight of where you were cutting and the lines cut off to avoid a correct cut, also you have to stop every 20 seconds to pull a bit more line out.
The design of this trimmer is a terrible one. It’s been put away in the shed.
