Purchased this generator after several power outages in my area and needed for emergency back up. Have only used once so far but ran smoothly and quietly throughout the day powering home essentials fridge, power to electronic devices etc. Used about 2.5 litres of fuel over 7 hours. Put the oil in and a little bit of fuel (98 RON) set the choke and it started first pull. Very easy.
Put it on load to a heater and it supplied the demand no problem. However, it was a bit nosier than I expected (due to their marketing) but it was running in my workshop. However, my other (slightly smaller) generator was noticeably quieter in the same location . Maybe it needs to be “run-in”.

After researching many generators, this one came up as the best value for money. My main criteria were, noise, cost and continuous power output.
The Cromtech 2400 starts easily and is surprisingly quiet. I tested the auto throttle with the different settings on a hair dryer and the generator rpm increased nicely as the power requirement increased. I do not intend to use it consistently over long periods of time so expect longevity will not be a problem. Main use will be for emergency backup and charging batteries on caravan. The noise level whilst charging batteries is very low and would not bother anyone in the vicinity.

Previous Generator died so I needed a new one. I was looking at getting a Honda, then saw these Cromtech. After reading a lot of reviews and doing a bit of research I decided to purchase. After all, it’s half the price and slightly bigger in capacity. My order arrived faster than was stated and in good condition. Filled up the oil, put in some petrol and first pull it stated! Very impressed. These generators are light weight, quiet and do exactly what they’re supposed to. Quality of finish is quite good too. We live one the road in our 5th wheel caravan and don’t need a gennie very often so I would expect a long life from this generator. Would recommend one to others.

We bought this generator for our caravan, after adding oil and fuel it started on the 3rd or fourth pull. Very quite when its not under load however it was noisier then expected when under load. We ran our Dometic Harrier AC, microwave, toaster and kettle okay, only one appliance at a time. Overall very happy with the Generator does what we wanted it for.

Started on first pull, runs the aircon and hot water and all lights etc. Initially ran for 10 minutes and then gradually put accessories on it did stop when switched hot water on but realised that it was on economy. Switched to full and everything ran smoothly and later put on to economy and no problem.

I LOVE my genny. I’ve used it many times to charge up my AGM batteries and fire up hot water system in my MH. She starts first pull Every time and purrs on low load. The revs speed up when heating the HW system but I don’t use this very often, so the noise factor is no biggie.

Seriously though used it to provide power to major appliances in my home when the electricity supplier decided to turn off the power for maintenance. Ran from 9 till 4 on a tank of fuel and never missed a beat. Will be using it in the van on my big loop next year.
