Description

On sale Genelite Honda 8kVA Generator, Recoil. This generator seems to have very good build quality but a few little issues could have been designed better with no additional cost:
1. The ON-OFF switch is on the opposite side to the side from which the start cord is operated. Also when the machine is running, with the exhaust pointing towards the open side of the shed, the operator has to lean across the exhaust to switch the machine off.
2. The electrical wiring connecting the ON-OFF switch to the engine is quite exposed and is therefore subject to damage. The wires should be better protected.
3. The unit should be located in its frame such that there is less likelihood of hand bruising when operating the start pull cord. As it is, the frame tubing restricts easy operation of the cord unless it is pulled at an angle that reduces efficiency for the operator.. 1. Kate Wurgler

Great unit. Suits our needs perfectly.

  2. Steve Grist

Generator runs well and performs as stated.

  3. Rusty Tully

This is the third Genelite Honda Generator we have purchased over 6 years. We live remote, on an island, and run our gennie for about 7 hours a day to keep the fridges going and to provide general power for lights, tools and machinery. The Genelite is a little work-horse – very reliable, easy to use and maintain. My wife can use the pull-start easily when necessary, and the unit itself is small enough for us to bring to our island in our 6m boat. Very satisfied.

  4. Lauire Colledge

    Very good service and Machine.
