These give an additional 160mm offset compared to the standard shank supplied with standard kits. These suit the Hayman Reese Weight Distribution Kits (WDK) made since 2011 and the PRO series. When using any shank in the 'Turned Down' orientation, select the minimum offset that will work, so you can keep the maximum ground clearance for your towbar.

When towing a caravan or trailer and youre experiencing excess sway, reduced steering and braking responsiveness, less traction and headlights that beam upwards instead of down onto the road in front of you – its time you invested in a weight distribution hitch.

By connecting your caravan to your car using an appropriately sized hitching system, you are evenly distributing the total weight of your car and caravan across all axles, this will also level your setup evenly allowing your brake and steering to perform correctly and more importantly – safely.

The 600Lb model accepts laden ball weights (tow ball weight) between 136-275kg and is suitable for caravans up to 2.75 tonne in total weight. Featuring a strong cast head with double-sided friction sway compatability, it uses 30 inch spring bars with round profiles for extra clearance along the drawbar. Snap up chain brackets with a lifting handle allows for ergonomic handling. The quick adjusting head has 6 different tilt positions providing extra ground clearance when required.

By connecting your caravan to your car using an appropriately sized weight distribution hitch, you evenly distribute the weight of what you are towing. Weight shifts from the from the rear of your vehicle to both the front wheels of the towing vehicle, and the wheels of the caravan or trailer you are towing.

Sized for larger applications than the 600Lb Pro Series model, this 800Lb model accepts laden ball weights between 275-365kg. The remote mount CompactIQ proportional brake controller gives you greater control over your braking, on and off road.

The remote function dial and LED indicator can be mounted in a spare switch panel rather than through the main dashboard or centre console. Leaving the brake controller out of sight and out of the way behind the vehicles dashboard – with only the dial and indicator visible.

The Output Control Dial has two functions. It lets you set the minimum braking force of the trailer (otherwise known as the Boost a unique feature) and provides an override function for additional braking power on the trailer when required. The over-ride force can be set by the user and is activated by pressing and holding the Output Control Dial.
