All in all, this is a great little machine! The supplied battery, which is only a 2 amp size. This lasts about 7 minutes continuous running [according to manual] - which in real time is probably about 15 to 20 minutes (with the normal stop/start operation - a 4" [100mm] branch will take about 15 seconds or less to cut with a sharp chain) That's if you are using it specifically to lop branches and cut to size for firewood. I recommend the 4 amp battery which I purchased at the same time. Found it paticularly handy when I was building a woodshed, especially as I was not worried about the roughness of the cut on dry timbers. So light to pick up, carry and use. Also I didn't have to worry about fuel and a pull start with conventional chainsaw. I was working on my project today for about 4 hours and was able to use the Baumr-AG 20V Cordless Chainsaw Electric Chain Saw every time I needed it. Of course, I wasn't using it continuously!
As far as quality is concerned, I have used Baumr tools in the past and have been really impressed with the engineering and design. In the case of this 20v Cordless Chainsaw, it would have been handy to have had a couple of short teeth with which the chainsaw can be held around the wood (a conventional chainsaw operator will know what I mean), but that is a minor point and am getting used to them not being there!
The instructions are very comprehensive regarding safety and use, but no information is given about sharpening the chain because it is recommended to have chain sharpened by a professional. This doesn't help me and I do need to know the size of round file so that I can sharpen the chain myself. All in all very happy with this product, which is value for money.
